In a society that segregates Vulnerables and Aggressives from the ranks of Citizens deemed to possess a functional temperamental balance, hacktivists and a state intelligence/terror agency race to control the impact of Quantum Field Resonance Imaging technology that allows people to touch minds, but which can also be deployed to inflict harm. Use of the technology by the intelligence agency for mass surveillance and manipulation of the public precipitates a crisis that brings the country to the brink of either civil war or a quantum evolutionary step, as political and commercial interests collide and the society is shaken to its foundations.
