The Dream of Eden is Dead is a dystopian cyberpunk series set in a world where a fascist oligarchy has turned all but the richest populace into near-mindless consumerists, and the poorest among them into an 'expendable' workforce that is paid little, but endangered greatly. You can't turn anywhere without advertisements flooding your vision, and skyscraper-sized, social-influencing, digital apparitions walk the city streets, creating material envy in those who gaze upon them. Outside of the major metropolitan areas is the "Middle Country," rural areas wrecked by corporate greed and despoilment, where all one could hope for was subsistence amid the wreckage of a world ravaged by climate change.
